Sean started out playing drums on his mum's kitchen countertops. He used a tambourine until he successfully pestered his parents for a drum kit when he was 13

Sean's first neighborhood band was Laid and Crazy. But after tiring of the local scene, he joined Def Repplica after hearing from a mutual friend that they were in need of a drummer. He met with the guys and "we hit it off right away." Sean has played drums off and on for 22 years. He took 3 years off playing drums to serve his country during the first Persian Gulf war. Since then, he has played in numerous cover and original bands.

Sean cites Stewart Copeland of the Police as his first real influence. He has since begun to have a love for much heavier drum sounds such as Vinnie Paul of Pantera and Chris Adler of Lamb of God. "Rick Allen and Def Leppard has always been an inspiration for me for his heavy hitting, determination, and drive. Think about it! You are a drummer and you lose your arm in an accident? You would think your career playing drums is over! Not Rick Allen! Absolutely amazing! He is an inspiration to musicians everywhere!"
